The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Lippe Detmold

The economic life is regulated today by a permanent increasing number of legal provisions which can hardly be overlooked by a single company. The CCI covers with their achievements a part of the information demands which arise from economic life. The Chamber cannot replace the legal and fiscal advisory professions or performs the interests of single enterprises before the court. But the CCI provides binding legal advice in areas in which the state has transferred concrete duties and responsibilities to the Chamber. Concerning other questions of commercial law the Chamber gives hints on the legal position of tax law or other legal questions. The CCI offers a brief overview on legal questions in their bulletin collection (in german).

Through the umbrella organization, the German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), and the association of Chambers of Industry and Commerce NRW (in German Vereinigung der Industrie und Handelskammern in NRW) the CCI affects the legislation on the level of Federation and Federal state (NRW) in the range of commercial law. The CCI comments on legislative proposals and operates as a political adviser.
